Harwich

Harwich International Port (HWH) is one of the UK's leading multi-purpose freight and passenger ports with excellent road and rail links to the Midlands, London and the South East. It is ideally located for North Sea freight and passenger traffic to and from Scandinavia and the Benelux countries, offering first class ro-ro, ferry, container and bulk operations.

HWH is a member of the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group, a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL). HPH is the world's leading port investor, developer and operator, with interests in 23 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Today, HPH operates a total of 257 berths in 45 ports, together with a number of transportation-related service companies. With industry-recognised core competence in the effective and efficient management and operation of ports, the HPH Group handled 59.3 million TEU in 2006.

Built as a rail ferry port in the 1880s by the Great Eastern Railway, Harwich International Port has developed and expanded over more than a century into a highly efficient, modern, multipurpose port.

The Port, originally named Parkeston Quay after Great Eastern's chairman Charles Parks, was privatised in 1984. Strategically located in the southeast quadrant of the UK, Harwich International Port is on the southern side of the River Stour. In 1997 the Port was acquired by Hutchison Ports (UK) Limited.

Southampton

One of the country's busiest and most successful deep-water ports, Southampton is a natural choice for a wide range of customers and trades, with facilities to handle virtually any type of cargo. Its natural deep-water harbour and unique double tide allow unrestricted access for the world's largest vessels.

Southampton is the UK's leading vehicle-handling port, and has long been the UK's principal cruise port. It is also a major handler of liquid and dry bulks and containers, and almost half of the UK's containerised trade with the whole of the Far East is handled at this port. Over 24 million tonnes of oil and petroleum-related products are handled at the oil refineries of Esso, at Fawley, and BP, at Hamble, each year.

Dover

Dover has long been one of the World's premier seaports, with centuries of maritime heritage.  Presented with a Royal Charter in 1606, we look forward to our 400th anniversary celebrations.  Today, the experience at Dover is a singularly modern one.  Driven by massive investment, state of the art facilities, excellent modern transport links and award winning customer service, the port is very much a 21st century operation.

Four ferry companies operate from the port connecting to Calais, Boulogne and Dunkerque, providing the fastest sea crossings to France.  SpeedFerries services operate from the Hoverport at the Western Docks. Norfolkline, P&O Ferries and SeaFrance operate from the Eastern Docks Ferry Port. You can take advantage of departures every 20 minutes around the clock and enjoy stress-free travel - there are no airport delays or baggage restrictions.  Our aim is to get you to your destination as quickly and efficiently as possible.
