PARKING AT DOVER CRUISE PORT

There are many car parks at Dover Port, each one suited to your specific needs. All Port of Dover car parks display a Park Mark sign which shows that the car parks have been vetted by the police for safety and security. All car parks have the following facilities;

  • Regular security patrols
  • National 'Secure Car Park' status
  • Clear signs with directions to each car park
  • Clear signs showing the car parking fees

FREE PARKING:

Free parking is available at the front of the Travel Centre, but is for a maximum of up to 15 minutes. Please note, that a courtesy bus takes passengers from the Travel Centre to the ship.

CAR PARKING FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS:

A car park space can be easily pre booked, avoiding queues and delays, by visiting www.sales.doverport.co.uk. It only takes minutes to reserve a space which is close to the cruise terminal buildings. Car park spaces are not guaranteed during the peak season (July, August and September) for those who have not pre booked. Therefore, to avoid disapointment it is best to book a cruise car parking space as early as possible. Alternative car parking is available on other Dover Harbour Board Sites, in addition to the Cruise Terminal Parking during peak periods.

CAR PARKING FOR FERRY PASSENGERS:

There are both short stay and long stay parking options available to all passengers at the main multi storey car park, which is at the entrance to the Ferry Terminal. Tickets are issued by machine upon entry with the charge payable in the Arrivals Hall at the pay machines before you can retrieve your car. Lifts are available from all parking levels. The parking fees are as follows,

  • Up to 2 hours - £2.80
  • 2 - 6 hours - £7.10
  • 6 - 12 hours - £9.30
  • 12 - 24 hours - £13.00
  • Each day thereafter - £6.70

CAR PARKING FOR DISABLED PASENGERS:

There are disabled parking bays for both long and short stay parking, which are located on the first two levels of the multi storey car park at the Ferry Terminal. The lifts go from these levels to the Travel Centre for check in.

As the tickets are issued by machine, and payment upon return is made at the machine, there is a help button for passengers who cannot reach it.

For those on High Rate Disability Allowance, there are reserved parking bays in a specially designated car park. To use this car park you will need to show proff that you receive High Rate Disability Allowance at the Pass Office in the Travel Centre. You will then be issued with a windscreen disc that will allow you to use the cart park for unlimited visits.
