AIRPORT LOUNGES:

SERVISAIR WENTWORTH LOUNGE:
Both adults and children are welcome in this new lounge with its separate Relaxation Zone and Fun Zone. Adults can unwind in the quiet area's comfortable chairs while the Fun Zone offers PlayStations, computer games, soft play equipment and healthy snacks for the kids.
Whether you're travelling on business or for pleasure, in the Servisair Wentworth Lounge, you'll enjoy service and hospitality for up to three hours before your flight with facilities including:

AIRLINE LOUNGES:
Premium class passengers travelling with British Airways (international flights only), Emirates and Delta also have dedicated lounges available in the departure area.

CASH DISPENSERS:
Cash dispensers (ATMs) are available in the terminal, both before and after security control.
Most cash machines will accept valid UK bank and building society cards without a surcharge. They also accept major credit cards.

FOOD AND OTHER ESSENTIALS:
Most restaurants and bars provide high chairs and children's menus. Child-friendly restaurants are easy to find, and Garfunkel's (after security control) has a full children's menu complete with activity pack.
Boots pharmacy (branches before and after security) supplies baby essentials including nappies, formula milk and baby wipes. Pick up essential medicine such as Calpol too.
BABY CHANGING FACILITIES:
Specially equipped rooms for feeding and changing babies are indicated by either a bottle sign or a babycare symbol. Changing facilities are provided in the check-in area, en route to the gates, in the transfer area and after passport control in arrivals. There are also fold-down tables provided in some male and female toilets.
ENTERTAINMENT:
WHSmith and World News offer a wide range of magazines, comics and puzzle books to keep youngsters entertained in the departure lounge and in the air. There's also a branch of the world-famous Hamleys toy store in the departure lounge, after security.
Arcade entertainment
GameGrid provides the best in arcade entertainment including air hockey, table football and computer games. There are branches before and after security, and in arrivals.
WATCHING THE PLANES:
There are plenty of spots in the North Terminal where youngsters can watch the action on the airfield and taxiways. Try Costa, Starbucks or Aqua Bar (all on the upper level, after security). If your flight leaves from Pier 6 (Gates 101 - 113), you can even watch planes passing under the bridge on your way.
INTERNET ACCESS:
Internet desks with broadband-connected PCs are available in a number of locations in the terminal, before and after security.
Facilities are available in both terminals,which are operated by Spectrum Interactive Ltd. There are also plenty of phone-style internet kiosks where you can check your email or surf the web.
Payment can be made online by credit card, by voucher, or by coin (UK pound or euro).
WI-FI:
Enjoy the freedom of high-speed wireless internet access via your laptop computer or handheld device.
Wireless hotspots in the terminals mean you can connect instantly and work or surf on the move. There is a choice of service providers.
Look out for the T-Mobile laptop stations and BT Openzone chairs with power sockets to charge up batteries.
YOUR EQUIPMENT:
You'll need a wireless compatible (Wi-fi 802.11b) device. Most modern laptops have this function built in and many others can be upgraded with a wireless networking card (you can even buy these at the airport).

- Turn on your wireless enabled device.
- Launch your browser and navigate to any web page.
- When the connection is detected you'll see a list of service providers – choose one.
- If you have an account with the service provider, log in. Otherwise you can set up an account there and then. Payment can be made online.
LEFT BAGGAGE:
A left baggage facility is available for passengers who wish to store luggage or belongings, for a number of hours or days. All items are security checked. Left baggage offices also offer competitive unaccompanied baggage rates and sell travel accessories.
The North Terminal left baggage office is located on The Avenue, and is open from 05:00 to 21:00. It costs £8.00 per item per 24 hours (or part thereof).

LOST PROPERTY:
Gatwick Airport's lost property service is operated by the Excess Baggage Company and is located in the South Terminal.
Opening times are 08:00 to 19:00 Monday to Saturday, and 08:00 to 16:00 on Sundays. A charge is made for each item.

MEETING POINTS:
NORTH TERMINAL: The official meeting point is in international arrivals, near the airport information desk.
SOUTH TERMINAL: There are meeting points in international arrivals and opposite WHSmith in UK arrivals.
MEETING ROOMS:
UNITED BUSINESS CENTRE:
Gatwick has a suite of modern meeting rooms available for hire within the airport complex. The United Business Centre (UBC) conference facility is located on the seventh floor of Norfolk House (South Terminal).
It has 17 meeting rooms (maximum capacity 65, theatre-style), all with broadband capabilities, phones, fax and full secretarial support. The facility is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.
HOTELS:
Conference facilities and meeting rooms are available for hire at the hotels adjacent to the terminals. The closest to the North Terminal is the Sofitel London Gatwick - call +44 (0)1293 567 070 or visit the Sofitel website for more information.
PORTERS:
If you would like the help of a uniformed porter, a service is available from the passenger drop-off point to check-in for departing passengers, and from the baggage reclaim hall to the point of onward travel for arriving passengers.
Charges for this service start at £7. A bulk baggage service is also available, charged at £1 per bag (minimum charge £7).

SMOKING:
Gatwick Airport is a smoke-free airport, in line with the law on smoking in enclosed public spaces.
There are designated smoking areas outside the terminal buildings (before security control only). Smoking is not allowed anywhere after security control.
TROLLEYS:
Baggage trolleys are provided in key areas around the terminal building. They are operated using a coin deposit system.
Passengers will need a £1, €1 or US 25-cent coin, which is refunded when the trolley is returned. Change machines are provided in various locations around the terminal.
VAT REFUNDS:
Visitors from non-European Union countries can reclaim the sales tax (VAT) on purchases from a number of British retailers.
To claim, you must first purchase goods from any merchant displaying the Tax Free Shopping sign. You'll be given a tax refund form by the retailer – keep it along with your receipt. Then when you get to the airport, take your receipt and form to the Travelex counter. Your tax refund will be paid in cash. You can even have your refund paid in your own local currency – just ask when you get to the desk.

WORSHIP:
The North Terminal chapel is open to people of all faiths for private prayer and meditation. It is located on the ground floor, next to international arrivals (before security).
Christian services are held regularly on Sundays and weekdays by the Anglican, Roman Catholic and Free Church chaplains. Services usually last 25 minutes, and details of forthcoming services are posted on the noticeboard outside the chapel.
There is also a chapel in the South Terminal, on the Gatwick Village level near Caffè Nero.
