Denmark Street it a famous street in london located close to Tottenham Court Road station. It is famous for its many guitar and other musical instrument shops that line the street. The street is named after Prince George of Denmark. The street was first inhabited by many popular britich music publishers, and also recording studios.
The street was originally planned to be residential. However it quickly became commercialised in the 1900s. It earned the nickname of Tin Pan Alley after it became popular with music publishers. Once the publishers moved elsewhere, the street started to become flooded with guitar and instrument shops and also recording studios for many famous british bands and artists:
